Hello My Name Is...

Jessica Vollendorf

I have lived in the beautiful state of Colorado all my life.  My husband, Dan, and I moved to Gunnison in 2007.  We have two daughters, Madison (10) and Josie (7).  Our hobbies include fishing, rafting, camping, hiking and skiing.  We also enjoy spending time with family and friends.

I have always enjoyed working with kids.  Throughout high school and college I worked in child care centers and preschools.  In college, I earned my Elementary Education licensure with a BA in Liberal Arts.  After college, I worked as a preschool teacher with three and four year old children.  Then I moved on to teaching first grade for four years.  When my oldest daughter was born I decided to stay home with her.  I opened a home child care business in which I operated for four years before going back to my career and passion; teaching.  Now I am starting my fifth year at Lake!
