Kindergarten

A lifelong love of young children and fascination with their learning and growth form the core of my teaching/learning philosophy. As a mother of two girls and a kindergarten teacher of many, I observe that the seeds of success are sown and germinate at a very young age. The classroom is a garden of dreams. A desire for lifelong learning is the nourishing soil.  With cultivation and tending and a warm positive family-school collaboration, the child’s intellect will develop and prosper. Inspiring lifelong learners in a protective environment, linking together students, parents, families, educators and community, and appropriately instructing students are my ongoing goals.

Teaching is one of society’s most essential professions. I give each student my very best by creating a safe and healthy classroom environment, offering a creative curriculum to meet state standards, and by actively working within a professional learning community. I believe that all students can learn and exit my classroom with inspiration and motivation to succeed in school and beyond.
